Site Visits

Spanish Studies Abroad hosts independent and group site visits at our program locations to help U.S. faculty and administrators get to know our programs first hand.

Group Site Visits

These visits are an orientation to our study abroad programs, facilities, and staff, as well as the local cultures and surroundings. You join a select group of faculty, advisors, and administrators as you travel and learn about our programs.  Spanish Studies Abroad covers general on-site costs for participants, following the ethical standards established by The Forum on Education Abroad.

Site visits provide our partners and advisors an insider's perspective on our academic programs abroad, as well as a better understanding of the unique experiences we provide your students. All site visits are managed by our Resident Director and on-site staff. Activities include:  orientation, class visits, study visits, meetings with students, question and answer sessions, and cultural events.

Spanish Studies Abroad subsidizes these visits by covering all housing, most program meals, and in-country travel.

Independent Site Visits

Spanish Studies Abroad is aware that our group site visits may not align with everyone's schedules. Therefore, we encourage and welcome individuals to visit our programs independently at the times most convenient for them. Independent Site Visits typically include one-on-one meetings with our Resident Directors, meals with on-site staff and/or faculty members, class visits, and tours of the facilities and local area. Spanish Studies Abroad covers up to two nights of local accommodations, arranged by Spanish Studies, and some meals.
